Pala Tribe gaining support for vote against landfill

The Pala Band of Mission Indians of California is gaining allies for its ballot initiative against a landfill. The tribe says the Gregory Canyon landfill could contaminate the area's only water source. The landfill is near two sacred sites, Gregory Mountain and Medicine Rock.
