Yellow Bird: Finding peace in uncertain times
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 2003 "Some spiritual leaders are troubled because the world turmoil seems to fit an ancient prophecy. It says the 10 white buffalo calves born since 1994 indicates a time of chaos, sickness, disease and tears, according to Chief Arvol Looking Horse, the Keeper of the Sacred White Buffalo Calf Pipe. The alternative for this prophecy is to bring their hearts together. Purity and compassion must flow together to bring health and happiness to all nations of Mother Earth, creating an energy shift toward healing, he said. Many of the spiritual leaders are calling for more ceremonies and prayers. They want the men who are hungry for power and war to call off the war dogs. "Let them fight the war - one-on-one, hand-to-hand combat - settle the war between the few of them, while we go back to peaceful lives," one South Dakota spiritual leader said." Get the Story:
