1. EVENT
TTAC Meeting September 11, 2026
September 11, 2026, 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. ET in the Cash Room (2121) at the Main Treasury Building.

During this meeting, the TTAC will advise Treasury and IRS officials on Tribal tax issues and hear public comments.

Due to Security requirements, only registered attendees will be permitted entry into the Treasury building. Registration will close Friday, September 4, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. ET. If you are unable to attend the TTAC meeting in person, you may participate virtually.

How ASAP.gov Recipients Enroll
Wednesday, August 12, 2026, 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

For Tribes and other organizations that are new to the ASAP system, the Bureau of Fiscal Service is hosting a webinar that focuses on how to enroll in ASAP.gov.

If you’re a recipient organization that’s been invited to enroll into ASAP.gov by a federal agency, this training is perfect for you. In this webinar, you’ll learn the steps for enrolling into ASAP.gov. There is no charge for this training.

Interagency Implementation of ED 2027 Grantmaking Priorities and 2028 Budget Priorities
Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 2:30-5:30 p.m. ET, the Departments will consult on ED’s FY 2027 grantmaking priorities.

Friday, August 28, 2026, from 2:30-5:30 p.m. ET, the Departments will consult on ED’s FY 2028 Budget Request to the President.

The U.S. Department of Education (ED) will conduct two Tribal Consultations on the Interagency Implementation of ED’s Fiscal Year 2027 Grantmaking Priorities and Fiscal Year 2028 Budget Priorities in coordination with the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI).

Yurok Tribe Regains 125 Acres of Ancestral Redwood Land
Save the Redwoods League transferred 125 acres of land in the heart of Yurok ancestral territory back to the Yurok Tribe through a transformational agreement that prioritizes tribal land‑management practices, creates a new public space, and permanently protects critical salmon habitat.

“This project represents a truly just approach to the restoration of culturally important landscapes and tribal communities,” said Joseph L. James, the Chairman of the Yurok Tribe. “I hope it sets a national standard for collaboration between environmental protection groups and tribal nations. I sincerely thank Save the Redwoods League for working with the tribe to make this dream a reality.”
