Witness list for Senate Committee on Indian Affairs hearing on Department of Energy

The Senate Committee on Indian Affairs is meeting on Wednesday afternoon for an oversight hearing.
The hearing focuses on Indian programs at the Department of Energy (DOE). The committee is set to hear from a panel of federal witnesses, including David Conrad, a citizen of the Osage Nation who is serving as both the “acting director” and “acting deputy director” of the Office of Indian Energy Policy and Programs at DOE.

The hearing takes place immediately following a business meeting at 2:30pm Eastern in Room 628 of the Senate Dirksen Office Building in Washington, D.C. The meeting focuses on the nomination of nomination of William “Billy” Kirkland, a citizen of the Navajo Nation, to serve as Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs, a political position at the Department of the Interior (DOI).
