Curley is the first woman to lead the Navajo Nation’s legislative branch. She expressed optimism about the new administration of Donald Trump, who is being sworn in as the 47th president of the United States at mid-day on January 20, 2025.

“There’s a lot of big plans that we envision for this new administration,” Curley said.

The Navajo Nation hosted the reception at the Navajo Nation Washington Office near the U.S. Capitol.
