Native In The Spotlight: Ahsaki Baa LaFrance-Chachere
Growing up on the Navajo Reservation, Ahsaki Baa LaFrance-Chachere says she could not have guessed she would one day open the country’s first Native luxury cosmetics storefront.
Now, the founder and CEO of Ah-Shi Beauty is looking beyond Window Rock to Houston and New York City in addition to her regular online sales. The National Center for American Indian Economic Development named her the 2021 Native Woman Entrepreneur of the Year.
Native America Calling will hear about her story and her drive to revolutionize the industry for people of color.Coffee & Conversation Kick-Off with Navajo business owners, in partnership with Dineh Chambers of Commerce, as hospitality hosted by @ahshibeauty. We appreciate the discussion with the free-marketers and problem-solving minds of our Navajo economy. Ahé’hee pic.twitter.com/mNN8Nd0aWE
