The Sauk County Board in Wisconsin is meeting tonight to consider a lawsuit over the Ho-Chunk Nation land-into-trust application.

The county sent an attorney all the way to the Bureau of Indian Affairs to look at the application. The agency, however, reportedly refused to provide copies of the tribe's planning documents, prompting the threat of the lawsuit.

The application dates to 1994, when the tribe initially sought 700 acres. Controversy prompted the tribe to withdraw the request and only five acres went into trust.

The tribe submitted a new application for 600 acres. Plans call for an IMAX theater, restaurant, cultural heritage center, strip mall and RV park.
