The Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska broke ground on the first Educare in Indian Country.

The $10 million facility will provide a preschool and daycare services on the reservation. It will serve 191 children and their families.

"It will give each of the students a more in-depth and personalized level of education," Brian Chamberlain, a former council member worked on the project, said at the grounbreaking, The Sioux City Journal reported.

The tribe is contributing $5 million to build the center. The rest is coming from the Buffett Early Childhood Fund.
