Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe to decommission old fish hatchery





The Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe of Washington is decommissioning its old fish hatchery.

The hatchery was built in 1978, The Peninsula Daily News. It was the tribe's first hatchery.

The tribe has a new hatchery that was built as part of the $325 million restoration of the Elwha River. Two dams have been removed as part of the project.
