A taxation dispute between Chehalis Tribe and Thurston County,
Washington, won't be going to trial.
Judge Benjamin Settle said he will make a decision in the case on his own. A decision could come in the next few days, The Olympian reported.
The tribe operates the Great
Wolf Lodge on trust land within the reservation. Great Wolf Resorts
Inc., a non-Indian company, owns 49 percent of the business.
The county claims it can tax the non-Indian portion of the business. The
tribe says all of the operation is exempt.
