The Bureau of Indian Affairs has agreed to acquire 43 acres in trust for the Chehalis Tribe of Washington.
The tribe is using the land for a major $85 million to $90 million resort. The Great Wolf property will feature a hotel, indoor water park and convention center.
Negotiations with Great Wolf Resorts are nearly complete. Construction could begin as early as September for a late 2007 opening.
No gaming will take place on the site.
