Northern Arapaho Tribe withdraws city agreement
The Northern Arapaho Tribe has withdrawn a cooperative agreement with the city of Riverton, Wyoming, due to opposition from residents.

The agreement would have addressed zoning, land-use planning, economic development and other issues. It came under fire from residents, who said the city doesn't need a deal to work with the tribe.

Riverton lies outside the Wind River Reservation but the tribe contends it is still Indian Country.
