Lynda Lovejoy, a New Mexico state senator, is making another bid to lead the Navajo Nation.
Lovejoy ran for the post in 2006 but lost to President Joe Shirley Jr.. She was the first woman in tribal history to make it into the final race.
At least four other candidates are expected to run for president.
