A former teacher on the Onondaga Nation in New York faces a second trial for allegedly abusing students.
Albert Scerbo, 46, was accused of abusing or endangering 17 girls on the reservation. He was convicted of only two counts but a judge set the verdict aside.
An appeals court, however, reinstated two charges. A judge is meeting with attorneys today to schedule a new trial.
Before his first trial, Scerbo said he is the victim of character assassination. He suggested the girls were coached by Onondaga clan mothers to say they were abused.
