The Senate Energy and Natural
Resources Committee will consider the nomination of Hilary Tompkins to be Solicitor of the Interior Department at a business meeting tomorrow.
Tompkins is a member of the Navajo Nation. If confirmed by the Senate, she would be the first Native woman and the first Native American to serve as Interior's top legal official.
The meeting takes place at 2:30pm in Room 366 of the Senate Dirksen Office Building.
