Blog: The case against Larry EchoHawk for BIA
The Native Land Guardian blog has published a series of posts that criticize the potential selection of Larry EchoHawk, a member of the Pawnee Nation of Oklahoma, as the head of the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

Well, it was a surprise when the news bounced around the inauguration balls that Department of the Interior Secretary, Ken Salazar was considering Larry Echo Hawk for Assistant Secretary of the Interior for Bureau of Indian Affairs. It was an upleasant surprise," the writer stated. "It was once said Larry Echo Hawk had three strikes against him: He's Indian, He's Democrat, He's Morman [sic]. They had two out of three correct anyway."

The posts focus on EchoHawk's background, qualifications and his views on Indian gaming.
