Sen. John McCain has yet to visit Indian Country during his campaign but he is sending his bus to the Navajo Nation this week.
As part of a wider tour of western New Mexico, the bus will stop at the Shiprock Navajo Fair on Saturday, The Gallup Independent reported.
McCain served twice as chairman of the Senate Indian Affairs
Committee. During his second stint, Navajo leaders opposed his bill to end a land dispute between the Navajo Nation and the Hopi Tribe.
