Edward Dunn Whiteskunk, a former treasurer for the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma, was sentenced to 366 days in federal prison for theft.

Whiteskunk, 51, pleaded guilty to embezzling money from the tribe. He was ordered to pay restitution of $99,000.

At least 10 former Cheyenne-Arapaho officials and employees have been indicted in connection with thefts from the tribe.
