Senate Indian Affairs hearing on Bush's 2009 budget

The Senate Indian Affairs Committee is holding an oversight hearing on Thursday on President Bush's fiscal year 2009 budget request for tribal programs.

Assistant secretary Carl Artman told the United South and Eastern Tribes (USET) earlier this week that he will testify at the hearing. Other witnesses are being announced.

The hearing starts at 9:30am and will be broadcast at http://indian.senate.gov.
