The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community has donated $200,000 to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The money will pay for 199 automatic external defibrillators. The tribe's donation means every state patrol vehicle will have the life-saving device.
"In order to protect Minnesotans, we need to help equip our first responders and law enforcement, Chairman Stanley Crooks said.
The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community has donated over $100 million to fellow tribes, Indian organizations, non-profits and local and state governments.
