Two aides to Rep. John Doolittle (R-California) testified before a grand jury on Wednesday.
Scheduler Alisha Perkins and deputy chief of staff Dan Blankenburg were subpoenaed by a grand jury investigating Jack Abramoff. Doolittle and his wife have ties to the convicted lobbyist.
Doolittle inserted comments into the Congressional Record that praised the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, Abramoff's top client. His wife, Julia, used to do consulting work for Abramoff.
Doolittle's chief of staff is set to testify on Friday.
