The Sauk-Suiattle Tribe of Washington ousted chairwoman Gloria Green in a run-off last month.
Green was defeated by Ronda Metcalf, her cousin. The council will elect a new chairperson this Friday.
Green led the tribe when dead woman, and all of her descendants, were removed from the rolls. Metcalf said it was wrong for people to blame her cousin for the decision.
