Suspect arrested in year-old Navajo Nation homicides

A suspect in a triple homicide on the Navajo Nation was arrested in Mexico more than a year after the brutal slaying shocked the reservation.

Michael Johnson, 27, was the last of four suspects to be apprehended for the execution-styole murders on November 7, 2005. He was arrested at an undisclosed location in Mexico and waived his extradition to New Mexico.

The murders of Vicki Benally, Bobby Wayne Fulton and Lars Yazzie took place in Hogback, New Mexico. The crime is said to be linked to Fulton's involvement in the methamphetamine and marijuana trade.
