"Just over one year ago, three people lost their lives execution style at the Hogback Chapter House. It was a senseless way to die. Three lives gone in the blink of an eye, leaving behind fathers, mothers, a fiancee and a son to continue through life without their loved ones.
Bobby Fulton, 20, Lars Yazzie, 18, and Vicki Benally, 26, all of Farmington, were killed in the early morning of Nov. 7, 2005, by alleged suspects Eugina Renee Cowboy, 22, and Darcy Robert Manus, 22, both of Shiprock, Chuck Custer Nahkai, 29, of Beclabito, and Michael Johnson, 26, of Shiprock. According to the FBI, Benally was shot seven times, Yazzie nine and Fulton 14.
FBI agents have stated that the search for Johnson is ongoing.
Was there a reason for these senseless deaths? Apparently the deaths were a result of a suspected methamphetamine deal gone awry.
This is just one more incidence in a long laundry list of many where drugs have caused havoc in people's lives. Yet, this incident didn't just affect the three people who were gunned down it also affected each and every family member in ways that may never heal."
