The Crow Tribe of Montana is shutting down its dialysis center at the end of the week.
The Apsaalooke Dialysis Center in Crow Agency has been on the reservation for 11 years.
But due to staffing shortages and facility maintenance problems, its 13 patients will have to seek care 60 miles away in Billings or 70 miles away in Sheridan, Wyoming.
Billings Clinic, which operates the center for the tribe, hopes to reopen the facility in a few months. In the meantime, transportation will be provided for the patients.
