The Crow Creek Tribal School will finally tear down a dorm that was damaged by fire in April 2005.
The school was waiting for Bureau of Indian Affairs approval before tearing down the remains of the dorm. Superintendent Scott Raue said the building posed a safety hazard.
A fire of undetermined origin destroyed the dorm. The school has brought in temporary units but says a replacement will cost between $2.4 million to $2.7 million.
