Neil G. Volz, a member of Team Abramoff, will testify at the trial of a former Bush administration official this week.
Volz will testify about the infamous August 2002 trip to Scotland that was partly funded with tribal money. David Safavian, a former official with the General Services Administration and the White House, went on the trip and is charged with lying about the circumstances of the trip.
Volz was former chief of staff to Rep. Bob Ney (R-Ohio), one of the lawmaker under scrutiny for his dealings with Abramoff. Volz pleaded guilty to a corruption scheme involving Ney and tribal lobbying activities.
