The Wiyot Tribe is hosting the California Tribal River Summit on December 14-15.

The summit will bring tribes across the region together to discuss how to protect their rivers and water. "It is important that tribes come together now, before it is too late, and consider new ideas for improved stewardship of our rivers and other tribal waters,� said Chairwoman Cheryl Seidner.

The event will take place at the community center in Loleta, on the Table Bluff Reservation.
