The Interior Department has scheduled three consultation meetings to discuss proposed changes in Indian trust fund management.

The first meeting will be held on July 27 in Rapid City, South Dakota. The second meeting takes place August 8 in Billings, Montana. The final meeting is in Bloomington, Minnesota, on August 10.

Tribal leaders and individual Indians are asked to comment on regulations to implement the American Indian Probate Reform Act. The law seeks to streamline the probate of Indian estates and consolidated the Indian land base.

Comments are also sought on the Fiduciary Trust Model. Areas of interest include the land-into-trust process and land records and title documents.
