A four-day wake began on Tuesday for Robin Cameron, a Native Royal Canadian Mounted Police officer who was killed on duty.

The wake is being held on the Beardy's and Okemasis Reserve in Saskatchewan were Cameron, 29, grew up. About 200 people, including 30 RCMP officers, attended a ceremony on Wednesday.

Cameron and fellow officer Marc Bourdages, 26, were shot while responding to a domestic dispute. They later died in a hospital.

Curtis Dagenais, the alleged shooter, is being charged with two counts of first-degree murder and attempted murder for shooting at a third police officer. He turned himself in on Tuesday.
