A man from Saskatchewan faces murder and attempted murder charges for the death of a Native Royal Canadian Mounted Police officer and the officer's colleague.
Const. Robin Cameron, a member of the Beardy's Okemasis First Nation, and Const. Marc Bourdages died July 16. They were allegedly shot by Curtis Alfred Dagenais while responding to a domestic violence call.
Dagenais was on the loose but turned himself in to authorities on Tuesday.
Cameron, 29, was the mother of an 11-year-old girl. She joined the RCMP five years ago.
