Three Wisconsin tribes are expected to make substantial contributions to the proposed Indian center in Milwaukee.

The Forest County Potawatomi Tribe, the Oneida Nation and the Ho-Chunk Nation will make the donations after an unrelated lawsuit over gaming compacts is resolved, said Jim DeNomie of Honor Our Neighbors' Origins and Rights. HONOR is behind the center proposal.

The facility will cost $4.2 million. HONOR has raised about $500,000 so far.
