Arctic Slope corporation delivers record profits

Arctic Slope Regional Corp., an Alaska Native regional corporation, reported a record $127 million profit in 2005.

The profits were seen on $1.6 billion in revenue. The figures represent a turnaround from 2004, when ASRC lost $17 million.

ASRC's numerous subsidiaries were profitable and the corporation benefited from the rising cost of oil, an executive said. That led to huge bonuses and salaries for top executives.
