Olympic gold medalist Billy Mills will be presented with the Christian Relief Service Charities Humanitarian Award at a reception at the National Museum of the American Indian.
The award will be presented during the 20th annual gala of the Christian Relief Service Charities. The event takes place April 22 at the museum in Washington, D.C.
Mills, a member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe and the founder of Running Strong for American Indian Youth, is being recognized for his charity efforts on South Dakota reservations.
