South Dakota's Congressional delegation are lobbying President Bush to ensure that the Wakpa Sica Reconciliation Place is included in the upcoming budget.
Congress authorized $18 million for the project but hasn't fully funded it,
Gannett News Service reported. An additional $10.5 million is needed to finish the cultural, educational and legal resource complex.
One component of the project is the Sioux Nation Supreme Court. Supporters say it will help lure businesses to the nine Sioux reservations by providing a stable judicial system.
