The Penobscot Nation and Maine Gov. John Baldacci (D) celebrating the opening of the tribe's mail-order pharmacy.
PIN Rx will offer discounts to Maine residents who get medication through certain state programs and Medicaid. In some cases, the discounts will run as high as 3 percent.
Baldacci praised the tribe for starting the business. Chief James Sappier said the tribe is trying to diversify its economy.
Private pharmacists say the tribe is going to drive them out of business.
