The Narragansett Tribe has suspended lobbyist Guy Dufault after he threatened to "bring down" Rhode Island Gov. Donald Carcieri (R) with allegations about extramarital affairs.
Dufault has been working for the tribe for several years. He was hired to promote a proposed casino with Harrah's Entertainment. The tribe and Harrah's jointly suspended Dufault.
Dufault issued an apology to Carcieri but the governor rejected it. The remarks were mistakenly aired during a television show that Dufault produces.
