Two court hearings in the Cobell v. Norton Indian trust fund lawsuit are taking place in Washington, D.C., this week.
On Thursday, September 15, U.S. District Judge Royce C. Lamberth [Court Web Site] is holding a hearing at 10am over the Bush administration's failure to produce documents for the recent information technology security trial. The Cobell plaintiffs say the government is in violation of a court order.
On Friday, September 16, the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals [Court Web Site] will hear the Bush administration's challenge to a historical accounting and structural injunction imposed by Lamberth.
The hearing takes place during the 9:30am session before Judges Merrick B. Garland, Laurence H. Silberman and Stephen F. Williams.
