Oklahoma tribes are contributing resources, supplies and personnel to relief efforts for Hurricane Katrina.

The Iowa Tribe's fire fighting crew is assisting evacuees in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The tribe also sent trucks to assist in rescue operations.

The Cherokee Nation has sent food and supplies to the Choctaw Reservation in Mississippi. The tribe also sent medical personnel and supplies to Camp Gruber in Oklahoma, which has received hundreds of evacuees.

Donations for the National Indian Gaming Association fund may be sent to the Spirit of Sovereignty Foundation, attn: Hurricane Katrina Fund, 224 Second St. S.E., Washington, D.C. 20003.

Donations for the National Congress of American Indians fund can be sent to the National Congress of American Indians 1301 Connecticut Ave, NW, Suite 200, Washington, DC 20036.
