The Gila River Indian Community of Arizona is considering proposals to host two big retail centers on the reservation.
The reservation is attractive due to its proximity to Phoenix. Nearby communities are running out of real estate, prompting developers to look elsewhere.
The tribe is mulling proposals for a 483,000-square-foot center and another 537,300-square-foot center.
