Controversy at the First Nations University of Canada is hurting programs for Native students and Native health care.
FNUC will no longer be receiving funds for a program to recruit and train Native students. The money was put on hold due to recent financial and management issues at the school, which is located in Saskatchewan.
FNUC also won't recent money for the Indigenous People's Health and Research Centre. The program was taken over by the e University of Regina.
