The chairman of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation is once again accusing a political opponent of defamation.
John "Rocky" Barrett filed a criminal defamation of character complaint against
Robert Leon Bruno. Barrett is seeking re-election as chairman and Bruno is challenging him.
Previously, Barrett accused another group of tribal members of defamation for information they posted on a web site. The case floundered when two different tribal attorneys refused to prosecute the case, leading Barrett to fire them.
