The 2005 He Sapa Wacipi Black Hills Pow Wow was a success, organizers say.
The powwow, held in Rapid City earlier this month, drew 8,500 people -- 1,600 more than last year. Along with vendor operations, the event turned a profit for the second year in a row.
The 2006 powwow will take place October 6-8.
