First Nations finally invited to top-level meeting
Monday, October 24, 2005  

First Nations leaders have been invited to a top-level meeting of federal and provincial officials in Canada.

This is the first time that Native leaders will attend a First Ministers' Meeting. Prime Minister Paul Martin said he hopes to discuss ways to improve the lives of Native people.

The meeting will take place in Kelowna, British Columbia, next month.
