The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians in North Carolina have a new council chairman.
Dan McCoy, 62, was elected chairman on Monday. He has previously served on the council. He ousted outgoing chairman Albert Crowe in September�s general election.
Alan B. Ensley was elected as vice chairman. Representatives for 12 council seats have been settled.
