The Yakama Nation's minor league basketball team unveiled a new logo on Thursday
The logo features a basketball with a headband with two feathers. It was designed by an employee of the tribe's casino.
The tribe bought Yakima Sun Kings in June and changed the name to the Yakama Sun Kings.
The purchase stirred an uproar within the tribe and led to the ouster of officials responsible for the decision, which was made without consulting tribal members.
