The tribes on the Fort Belknap Reservation in Montana need help shipping bison meat to victims of Hurricane Katrina.
The tribes plan to slaughter 10 bison but need a way to ship the 5,000 pounds of meat. Officials are looking for a refrigerated truck headed to Utah, Colorado or Texas. The animals won't be slaughtered until a way to deliver them is found.
Separately, the tribes are collecting clothing, bedding, money, school supplies and books to send to Katrina victims.
