The Klamath Tribes of Oregon is celebrating 19 years of federal restoration with a powwow, rodeo and other events.
The 19th Annual Klamath Tribes Restoration Celebration commemorates the tribe's restoration on August 27, 1986. The tribe had been official terminated on April 17, 1961.
The celebration kicks off tonight with a pageant. Other events include a powwow, a fun run/walk, a free barbecue, a parade, a dinner and a youth rodeo.
