Members of the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut picked 18 out of 51 candidates for the upcoming tribal council election.
First round of balloting eliminated two incumbents, The New London Day reported. Of the six incumbents that made it to the final round, only four were in the top nine, The Norwich Bulletin reported.
The final election will be held August 28.
