Members of four tribes from northern California and southern Oregon are in Scotland this week to call for the removal of six dams in the Klamath Basin.
The Karuk, Yurok, Hoopa and Klamath tribes are protesting outside the shareholders meeting of
Scottish Power, whose U.S. subsidiary PacifiCorp operates the dams.
The tribes blame the dams for dwindling runs of salmon and other fish.
Scottish Power is in the middle of selling PacifiCorp to a group of investors. The tribes want assurances that the fish issue will be addressed.
